Centrino in non centrino laptop?

Hey guys i have a centrino 1.4 processor would it work in my Compaq Presario 1500 with a 2.0 Normal PC processor would i be able to swap the processors?

? Whats a normal pc processor? You'd need to know what that is first..

Centrino is just a branding that intel has defined for approved hardware. I'll assume that the 1.4 is not a P4 like the 2.0 that came in the laptop. So no, you can't swap them out.
