Updated list on page 3

Going to start my first water cooling project.

So far this is what I got, it is going to be a single loop CPU on a i7-950

CPU Cooler - EK Supreme HF
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8525/ex-blc-569/EK_Supreme_HF_Universal_CPU_Liquid_Cooling_Block_-_Rev_2_-_Acetal_Sockets_775_1156_1366_939_940_754_AM2_AM2_AM3.html

Radiator - XSPC RX360 Triple 120mm Radiator
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8523/ex-rad-146/XSPC_RX360_Triple_120mm_Radiator.html

Reservior - FrozenQ PC Mods Liquid Fusion V Series "2nd Generation"

Pump - Swiftech MCP35X 12v PWM Controlled Water Pump
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11740/ex-pmp-109/Swiftech_MCP35X_12v_PWM_Controlled_Water_Pump.html

Tubing - 2.5 Meter (8 feet) Feser Tube Active UV Hose

Fans 3x - Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm x 25mm Fan - 4250 RPM
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12364/fan-810/Scythe_Gentle_Typhoon_120mm_x_25mm_Fan_-_4250_RPM_D1225C12B9AP-30.html ( what size screws do I need)

Compression - Bitspower Ultimate G 1/4 Thread 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD Compression Fitting
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10037/ex-tub-606/Bitspower_Ultimate_G_14_Thread_12_ID_x_34_OD_Compression_Fitting_-_Matte_Black_BP-MBCPF-CC5.html

I am still unsure the amount of Compression and claps but I am still undecided on how it will be placed.

What else would I need to put this set together? I already have enough thermal Paste so I don't need any more of that.

-thanks for all the help in adv

you don't need clamps if you're using compression fittings...

oh and each item(such as res, blocks, pumps) in the loop needs two fittings. 4 times = 8 fittings. oh and one last thing, that res is over a foot tall might want to downgrade in size.

What he said. 's all right.

That pump is pretty loud isn't it?

What's the reason you're water cooling, half of the reasons I did it was for a quiet PC.

The Swifty MCP series are whisper quiet.

JE Nightmare - thanks that was just the information I need. Could you point me into the right direction for a better res?

Fr0st. - reason is bc of temp. Under full load i am hitting 89C and at a low clock at low Volts. I am really starting to take interest in trying to get as much out of my comp as I can. Really starting to like the challenge.

Righto, I'd get a res/pump combo, like I have. A res where you mount the pump in it like this: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11219/ex-res-232/XSPC_Dual_525_Bay_Reservoir_-_Laing_D5_MCP655_w_Blue_LED_Light_-_Clear_Silver_Black.html?tl=g30c97

Makes everything easier, cleaner and you need two less barbs.

I have that same res (the 400mm helix one). The build quality is just mediocre, but does look cool. You have to be weary of leaks where the inner tubing connects to the base. I lost 2 hdds to that leak. Used some silicon to make sure it doesn't happen again. The res does look really sweet tho. The Danger Den rad res is great.

The xspc bar reses are ok, they just feel cheap to me. I have the dual ddc version of the xspc res and it just is completely underwhelming

ahh I see what you are getting at. So that Res would work with the pump I have picked out?
Nope. The res you picked is fine though a bit on the bling side. If you want a combo res/pump, get the 35x restop.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12104/ex-res-245/Swiftech_MCP35X_Optional_Tank_Reservoir_Attachment_-_Rev_2_MCP35X-RES.html#blank - I like this idea a lot and make since.

I looked at the RASA kits but just didn't really hit home with me.

Hey another stupid question, what size of screws will I need to attach the fans to the Radiator? Also any other suggestions on a different Radiator?

looks like i will be needing 6 compressions?

I know, I know, but for a CPU only loop the Rasa kit with those GT's would probably have the same results.
