Hey guys, is it at all possible to change the LED's in the In Win Maelstrom's giant side fan to different LED's, if so what would I need and what would be the steps to do it, thanks

Yeah its easy.

you need:

solder

soldering iron

flux

and leds

and steady hands.

make sure you remember which side is positive and negative. You can find that out via google

Use a sharp knife and carefully pry them out of the glue perhaps?

I just melted the glue with the soldering iron.

Yeah, I do that too. Then either snip off the led or melt to wire connecting it. Then with your new led, line up the wires and see if it lights up. If it doesn't, flip it around, if it does, go ahead and solder it on.

It depends on the fan.

You can tell if its 3mm or 5mm just by looking at them.

Im gonna assume they are 5mm since its one of those big fans.
