Changing the Ubuntu 9.10 Splash Screen

I really want a custom loading/splash screen.

I've changed my login page by changing x11. I obviously changed my desktop because the brown is just hideous. The problem is the load bar in between the two. I'd really like to change that.

My login screen is blue themed. My desktop is blue themed. The screen in the middle is turd brown.

xSplash makes it kinda hard to add custom themes. One way is changing the PNG's that are available in the source folder for xSplash and then altering the frame count.
