Well on Wednesday I plan on purchasing a DFI Infinity NF UltraII-M2 AM2 nForce4 from a member on here, along with a Single core AM2 sempron 2800+. Now assuming all that will run on a 180W PSU, I need a graphics card. Despite the board having 2 PCI-E x16 slots it doesn't support SLI (But it can be modded if you remove the SB cooler and soughter(Dunno how thats spelled) 2 'pins' together but I don't want to risk it.) So I am open to either Nvidia or ATI but all I really need is 100+ FPS on CS:S. I would prefer cheap or free (LOL)

Also what else should I do with it? All I really do (Even on my Signature rig) is play a little CS:S despite me being horrible at it and go on OCN, and surf the web.

The motherboard and CPU are costing me $45 total btw, which is killer IMO.

It's going to be really hard to find a graphics card that will run on a 180w power supply. The ATi Radeon HD 4650 runs ok on my 220w PSU but even that's really pushing it. Maybe try a 4350 or 4550. Neither of those cards will get you 100+ FPS on CS:S though. Why do you need 100FPS anyway? Most monitors don't even refresh over 60.

My GTX 260 doesnt even get me 100 FPS on CSS... good luck with getting something under 100 bucks... maybe try a 4770?

Opps i miss read the 100 bucks part... but maybe still try a 4770... a 8800GT got me about 40 FPS consistently

Really? My 4850 gets 296.6 lol. I've had some people tell me that I could find a card like this easily somewhere around here. I've had people say they get 150FPS+ with the 8800..Somethings gotta be wrong with your motherboard, or you set Anti Aliasing on

1366 x 768

I plan to play CS:S with every setting on High, but no Anti Aliasing. Stress test gives me 296.6, sometimes 294.9

Got 218 when I had my LGA 775 Pentium Build, same card.

I'm going to be playing it on LOW resolutions. 1024 x 768 or maybe lower. 100FPS with that lol. Won't need a HD4800 series card.

Wow, I gotta be doing something wrong with my 4890. Playing Crysis (yeah I know it's not CS:S,
) in 1440x900 I'm getting ~32fps & in 1680x1050 I'm getting ~23fps with everything maxed. That's just a single card, I'm considering buying a second 4890 for a Crossfire setup for more fps ultimately.

Haha I hope you're kidding. My 8800GT is SLOWER than your card and I rarely dip below 100 FPS.

@OP - I suggest you take a look at a 7600GT. It might just run on your system
