Cheap $$ Cooling Guide

I've been looking for places that have some heatsinks that cheap. Some people may not be able to afford 50-100$ Fans/Heatsink. So i've been searching for you guys a little bit. It's not the best performance wise but for example:

2$ RAM Heatsink
2-4$ GPU Heatsink /w Fan
2$ Fan Regulator
2$ 10 pack compound tubes

Etc..

Now some might say: Well shipping? I'm gonna pay 20 bucks for this crap and pay another 20 for shipping? No way!

Heh guess, what? No shipping costs! I just ordered like 50$ worth of dingles here and there for christmas and didnt cost me a cent of shipping. OF course it might take up to 2 weeks but who cares? It's free right?

Most of us won't use these kinds of things, but I bought a bunch of these and I help out friends and family all the time, it's great!

Most of the things here came from one site. But I dug into it for a couple hours to see the best deals. I found that most deals are better than Newegg.
Also note that it might seem that they are cheap versions from Japan but if you look closely. Some of them are made by Evercool. Parts DO come from Hong Kong though. Making them cheaper.

Just for gigs check this out

Tell me if it's ATi or nVidia on the Driver CD ^^ Have fun!!

+ rep for this, nice guide. How much might some of those sythe ram coolers effect the ram on a GPU temp wise? The ones that charge shipping
The ones over at NCIX are actually better, but cost wise, almost triple the cost too. But for the cooling part you're definately going to drop a couple degrees. Don't use this if you already have a fan installed on your GPU, and most gaming ram comes with heatsinks already, so if you've got a decent rig, don't replace your heatsink unless it's really under charts. Other than that, it's great. Good on the wallet too ^^
Some of those heatsinks aren't actually that great of a deal.

The RAMsinks look nice though.

The thing is that Ncix ships to more places than newegg, and 2nd they're about 5-10 bucks cheaper. Imo , it's better?

No, I mean the "hunk-o-aluminum" coolers come with fans of questionable quality and don't appear to have any design advantages over a stock cooler. (except maybe the screw mounting instead of pushpins)

Btw, this is sold out

^^ What he said.

I wouldn't waste even 50 cents on some of those, let alone $10.

Meh I guess we all have our opinions ^^ I tried one out and got about 4-5 degrees cooler than a stock. Not much but i put my other cooler and keep this one for spare. And it might not seem quality but some of these are actual cooling brands, the only difference is this comes from HK. Also you could take a look at Wiimotes lol, 25$ instead of 70$ + for a kit. They say it's another brand. I ordered 2 of em and they have Nintendo seals all over. Can't go with the looks I guess ^^
im with you on this one/i had a xigmatec darknight/then i switched cases and the dark knight wouldnt fit/so i baught a 10 doller thermaltake/and the 10 doller thermaltec was 2 degrees cooler on idle and max load/so those huge heat pipe air coolers are full of ****, and i tested it 6 times /i changed them back and forth to make sure/and xigmatec was 30 c idle/and the thermaltake was 28/ and after prime 95 the same thing, 2 degrees diff, plus the weight of that huge ass air cooler and 120 mm fan straped on it,who wants that
those cheap cpu cooler look like the one i got,i bet they are cooler then the huge heat pipe ones
^^ Thanks for the supportive comments
You should add the 92 mm OCZ Vendetta, $ 18.42 to the list.

I had one. Small as it is, that thing works. Seriously.

Honestly, I don't see anything worth the money there... some of those are good for duals but they don't even have LGA1366/1156-ready coolers.

If you are talking cheap CPU coolers, you can't forget the Masscool 8WA741. Right now its $30 on newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...082&Tpk=8wa741), but I got mine on sale for $22 shipped, and its a damn good cooler! My CPU does not go above 97*F while gaming, and never above 106*F running Prime95, with the fan at only 60% which is just about silent.
i got the igsc 300, was free at frys w/ rebate. ive got the fan turned down to bout 50% (it has a manual adjuster knob on the fan, which sucks if you like to tweak it regularly) but even with the fan going at around 200-500rpms on average, its keeping my dual core around 28degrees
