Hello there, some of you out there may know I am in the process of building a new system. I was decidedly going to go with Gigabyte's GA-Z170X-Gaming G1 board, but thanks to newegg messing up on the billing, that order has been aborted, which allows me to have a second chance on making a decision, the board I trying to decide between is the one I already mentioned, and the GA-Z170X-SOC FORCE. I have been scrounging the interwebs for a comparison between these two boards, and I have failed to find any meaningful results. If anyone can share the pros and cons with me, that would be great.

The biggest tradeoff I see is a third M.2 slot in exchange for 2 SATA ports, and the lack of a front IO USB-3C port on the SOC board. Are there any other major tradeoffs I should be considering between the two? I am also aware that the SOC board lacks onboard wifi, however I had been making it a point to leave a PCI slot in reserve for a backup wireless card, should the one on the G1 board fail.
