Hi guys,

I am benching my new I7 4970K with Cinebench R15 and I seem to be getting lower scores than other i7 4790K users.

Using the CPU test @ 4.7ghz I am getting a score of 886. 4.6GHZ = 860, 4.5ghz = 840, 4.4ghz = 820.

Any ideas? my temps are good. Voltage is at 1.344 acourding to CPU-Z.

super PI 32M @ 4.7GHZ = 7min 13 seconds.

Thanks for any help:)

my normal 24/7 settings with 4.7ghz, 44 uncore, 2400 ram Cas 10, I get 960 for Cin R15.

If I decrease my vcore so I am unstable (just barely run bench) lower uncore to 40, ram to1333, I can get 4.7ghz to score as low as 930 (seems funny trying to make score low as possible).

But yeah I cant duplicate that low of a score even trying to hamper everything at 4.7ghz.

Only thing I can think of is you have something in the background running making it slower. Try to run it with high priority, and check task manager to make sure nothing else is using cpu while cinebench is running.

Also I would download cinebench again.

EDIT: I just ran mine at stock clocks/default settings, including memory at 1333 cas 9, and got 875.

I get a score of 800 with my FX at 4.9GHz. Low 900's does seem a bit low for that 4790K.
And 811 at 5GHz.

Still seems low....
That is close to what I got at 4.7 with uncore at 40 and mem at 1333 9,9,9.

What is your memory and uncore settings?

Also try using task manager to close all the apps you don't need and run Cinebench in the highest priority available.
