Clockgen issue

When using clockgen, you must first select your processor. I have a Q9550 Quad Core. That doesn't show up in the list of motherboards. BTW, are there any other programs used for overclocking? Also, I can't overclock from the BIOS, hp computer.

Don't use software OCing. Do it right from the BIOS. The main issue with software OCing is there is no way to lock the PCI/PCIE bus, so you are severly limited (and can risk damaging your expansion cards)

edit: Sorry, missed the HP part. Get a new mobo and OS and go custom. I am not sure clockgen is updated enough to list the new CPU's etc.
