I know that if you mess something up majorly in the BIOS, you can reset the CMOS. When using Clockgen, will resetting the CMOS fix major errors? Is the same true for A64 Tweaker?

ClockGen is a Windows based utility which can crash your system... I doubt you would have any difficulties if you had to reset the BIOS due to a crash.
OCing in the BIOS itself vs ClockGen is a far better method.

Clockgen will not change the bios, it will see how far you can push the cpu in windows

The changes made by clockgen will be gone every time you restart your computer, so there's no need to reset the CMOS.
