looks like an interesting build! Your new components list looks quite solid.

Also, it's 2011, man! No need for a 56K connection warning. No person on OCN in their correct mind will have it.

Wouldn't you be better off going with something like a 550watt power supply? 850watts seems pretty overkill unless you're doing sli, even then a 650watt can easily sli 2 560ti's.

What is this overkill you speak of? Is this not overclock.net?

I will be running the 560ti and a 460 folding pretty much 24/7, I need something reliable and also futureproof so that I don't need to buy a bigger PSU later on. The 850w will do me fine

sorry to do this but somewhat off subject of your build can you run folding on a GPU completely independently of other things on your pc? will it use any CPU etc? if thats the case i may keep a GTS 250 folding 24/7 for the hell of it. ^_^

back on topic. why would he only need a 550w PSU? sorry im a PSU noob so those calculations im currently terrible at.

Heh - that's why I went OVER overkill and bought a Corsair 1200! MORE POWER!
