My dad's PC is a 2 year old FX 6300 custom build I did. 4 GB RAM, 64 GB SSD. He only uses it for internet and MS Office.
I used quality components so I'm worried because this shouldn't be happening. I think his SSD is bad. When I installed it, it made a noise that I can only describe as sounding like a coil whine on a PSU. But it's not a coil whine because I put my ear to the SSD and it came from that. And it only sounds when accessing information. His PC has gotten progressively worse in the past year. It hangs and loading a webpage takes forever. I backed everything up to my NAS.
I'm wanting to replace his SSD but before I spend the money I want to make sure that's what it is.
Any ideas? Thanks
