I have a MSI 890fxa-g970 board flashed with the latest bios to support the FX8350. Last week I replace a 1090T with an an Vishera 8350 and now experience cold boot problems. The CPU is not overclocked. I must push start mulitple times - sometime 10 -15 times - for the computer to boot to bios. If I replace the 8350 with my 1090T I do not experience any problems.
I have the following system specs
MSI890fxa-gd70 flashed to the latest bios to support the FX 8350
2xhd6970 in crossfire
8 meg of g-skill sniper DDR3 1600 ram
Aftermarket scythe cooler at idle 18 degrees C
Thermaltake 1000 watt gold series pro PSU
I have gone through the following steps to narrow the problem but cannot find anything that seems to fix it.
1) removed RAM, video cards, cpu and reseated
2) tried booting with one stick of ram in each slot
3) tried booting with just one video card installed
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
STratDoc
