Ok guys. I got some generic casing. Building a PC for my sis.

So the problem is i have to make it or paint it white. Gonna open it all, and paint. Painting the inside of casing is easy Its the outside i am concerned about. its black and the spray paint i got, i think the whole bottle in theory will cover just one side of casing.

What to do? Sandpaper it all :/ ?. I also heard of putting the side covers on flame. Doing that will destroy the paint. True?

Sanding as much of the paint off as possible is recommended. Also, there are paint-stripping chemicals available, or you could sand-blast it if those are options.

Also, you should probably look at some of the painting guides here. There are some valuable tips you need to follow for good results.

Thanks for that.

No i wont sand blast it dude. Generic work for generic crap
. and i dont own such equipments to sand blast lol. Yeah maybe putting sand in my mouth and blasting the casing would work. hmmm.

aah. Just stripped it apart. Pretty tiring. Its front was on with screws :/. It has been eating dust for few days and now i will wash it before painting
.

Gonna look around now.

Cant find any guides. Please post guys. Wanna spend night reading. and watching hopefully some HD videos.

Thanks alot.

yeah i knew that. Painted some stuff before. That's a rule of a thumb that 2 or more coats are better than one.

your honest best bet would be get 3 types of fine sandpaper and sand it down till it feels super smooth and get 2 cans of flat grey primer spray it on evenly and in light coats. let it dry 6-8 hours then paint it your final color.
the primer makes it easy to cover any existing color with out having to use several heavy coats and getting runs in the paint. so far on my current project i have used 3 cans of flat grey 2 cans of black and one can of clear coat and it looks pretty freakin cool.

heres the link to my current worklog
