Looking for a CPU for my ITX build that would be comparable to a 2600k. Only looking to OC to about 4Gghz.

Depends what it is going to be used for... But a 3770k or a 3570k have the same (Pretty Much) same single threaded performance, just the i7 takes the lead when multithreaded apps kick in.

3770k will pull away in benching, but in real world the 3570k will perform the same in the rest. Choose between power/price and make your choice based on the 3570k and 3770k. As it is being a separate rig I would choose the 3770k, it will last longer than the i5

As far as a OC is concerned, I am only interested to getting to 4Ghz. After that the returns are dismal.

Either choice will be good at gaming and everything else, just the i7 will pull away in benchmarks and heavily multithreaded things
