Hello overclockers, I'm starting a new loop very soon and I just want some feedback on compatibility of the components.

I'll be using alpha cool full copper radiators, a 780ti hydro copper card, and a water-cool Heat killer CPU Rev3.0 block. For tubing, I'll most likely go with Tygon Silver tubing and as coolant, distilled water. I'm going for a full copper loop with silver tubing to keep things clean.

I'd appreciate any comments on the loop. Thanks!

Anyone have a datasheet for Tygon's silver nano-powder infused flex tubing? Something tells me you'll be leaching plasticizers, which could cause leaching of silver particles, which might deposit themselves in the rads, which could cause nasty corrosion.

It's data sheet lists it as VERY resistant to reacting with pretty much anything. OP, just be aware you will be unable to use nickle plated at all with that much silver in the loop, but everything looks fine from what I saw. Be aware that alphacool doesn't treat/clean out their rads before shipping them, you'll need to mix some lemon juice:hot water about 1:4, pop it in the rads and shake shake shake, then rinse with a sodium bicarbonate. 1 Tbs of baking soda to a liter of heat distilled, rinse with that, then flush with distilled. Should clean all the flux off the solder points, the debris and all that crap, and any other stuff out of the rads.

Anyways, I'd advise against silver tubing and say just go with primochill adv LRT and a coolant with biocides and corrosion inhibitors but to each their own. I don't see, at least right now, any serious issues with that set up, just a few inconveniences.

Ah, that's interesting. Thanks for the radiator advice, very useful!

I was going for full copper to avoid any issues with the silver tubing and to have the tubing act as a biocide. If that may still cause issues then do you know of any other silver colored tubing?

My options with primo chill are limited to white and black but those colors still don't match fully with my build haha.

Thanks

It's REALLY hard to get metallic colors for flexible tubing and dyes. Metallic colors really can't be achieved with non metal elements, as they NEED to reflect colors like metallic surface would.

Well, someone else said you should not use nickel in there if you go with that silver tubing.
So I would recommend you use only Alphacool fittings as they don't plate the inside of their fittings.
I which I had known that before I bought most of my fittings.

And that hydro copper.block has horrible reviews and tested performance. Go for an EK VGA block instead.

Cheers
