Out of curiosity how do you find whre/if your mobo is 8x compliant..
I bought my comp like...6 months ago think my slot is 8x compliant?

I just liek to type the word compliant...^^

If it isnt 8x compliant, whatever card you put in there should kick it down the 4x. Make sure you check the card specifications to see if it is 4x compliant.

Google your MOBO name and serial #.

or download CPU-Z and check out the mobo tab

OR look carefully at mobo, somewhere between the pci slots or in front of the agp if there's sign AGP8x

CPU-Z is easier though, no need to bend over

Just look in the BIOS. It will tell you what your AGP slot can run at (8X/4X/2X)

theres that option too, man there are so many ways to see the max AGP rate, im pretty sure somewhere in the nvidia driver it even tells u what your AGP rate is currently set to.
