Hey, sorry this isn't much of a HD topic well actually I need to know how I can test my harddrive for faults to see if it's causing my computer to BSOD or not, I can't stay logged in so is there any boot device I could use or something similar to memtest86?

My problem is: I login to my windows, then sometimes it BSODs instantly and then repeats, then othertimes it lets me get goin, bring up some pages etc then boom does it again. Does that sound like a harddrive problem?

I tried system restore, didn't work. SO I'm gunna try checking memory then harddrive if I can, if those are fine imma try reformating, if it's still doing it after that I guess I need a new mobo or PSU :S

run a full memtest86+ scan first - if your pc BSODs soon after starting each time I would be on a memory problem.
