I read the manual on my MOBO and there is a Clr CMOS button. I pressed that. After doing the reset... is that all I do? Will it be safe to OC my mobo again or is there another step?

Nope, just clear it and you're set to overclock / change your settings back.

Make sure you properly clear the CMOS though
Does that entail just pressing the button? Because that's what I did... Lol. I pressed it twice to make sure. Haha. I'm so paranoid working on my rig. I ground myself like every 5 seconds because I'm so prone to static shock. My girlfriend's car is always shocking me. I wanted to call my buddy tomorrow to do it because he's more savvy at this than I am... but I figured I gotta do it sometime... Gotta "grow up" sometime. Lol. In a "working on a computer" type of way...
Edit:
And it just froze on me again... I'm such a n00b... lol. What gives?
Still freezing and I dunno what's up. It's killing me! After pressing the Clr CMOS buttons and booting it back up, it says at the very start at the bottom of the screen to press F2 to restore the defaults and continure... but when I press it, nothing happens.
So I just go into the BIOS, because that seems to be the only things that works and I don't do anything, then save and exit. That doesn't seem to be working.
Is it crashing at stock speeds? If so, you might have to reflash your BIOS to the old one. If it is only freezing after you overclock it's more than lkely you just need to recheck your settings. Clear the CMOS and double check all your bios settings. Manually remove the CMOS battery and wait 30 sec, then replace. CMOS battery pic attached. Attachment 130330
Unplug the power for 30 seconds, then hold the CLEAR CMOS button for 10 seconds. Plug the power back in and then hold the button for another 5-10 seconds.
I flashed to the new BIOS with all my overclocks in place. My friend told me after all this that I should have restored to my default clocks before I flashed (unfortunately, he wasn't around when I was doing all this).
jlchavis0844, no. It's only freezing on during my OCs. I am gonna try to remove the battery after I try the Clr CMOS button again. If pressing the button again doesn't work, I'll remove the battery. I read somewhere that it was 30 minutes, but you say 30 seconds. Is 30 seconds a faster way that still works?
OK. So I'm on a laptop right now. My rig is off and I unplugged it. I pressed and hel the Clr CMOS button for 10 seconds. On top of that, I removed the battery and set it aside. Any advice on what to do once I power back on?
After booting up go into the bios and set system defaults, reboot and reflash the bios! Just make sure everything is running stock before flash. You can flash back with shipped bios or the newest one....either way!
