Had this computer running good for a long time, very stable haven't tweaked it since first building it.
I played it about a week ago and since haven't touched it.
I go to use it tonight to burn some dvd's and it fires up like normal but says display not detected on the monitor...
so I check connections and everything is good.
I removed gc, reinstalled it, cleared Cmos, and even tried running off onboard Graphics.
even with a different monitor and both types on monitor hookups it wont display any bios or boot...
the computer doesnt move so nothing could have gotten damaged.

Any Ideas? im stumped being I havent done anything to cause trouble.
thanks, Jeff

Pulled cmos bat for a good 5 minutes and was able to get it to reboot.
bios glitch?
I just reset my overclock settings and we seem to be good again...

It could be a glitch but i'd upgrade it up to the latest bios just to be safe

If it happens again i'd be considering RMA'ing something, there could be a serious problem with your mobo. I'd put your PC under a stress test just to be extra safe

I had that problem with my 8600 gt and I did everything you did and still didn't work, so I applied some therm paste to the contacts and did everything again and it seemed to work. Not saying that IS your problem just an odd case. hopefully you worked something out.
yea I got it all back to the stable overclock settings and Im betting on a bios glitch, almost impossible to know for sure, but its ok for now.
thanks guys Ive checked for newer versions but im not sure I want to mess around with flashing bios.
