Computer Won't Boot from hard drive

477 3
My desktop runs all the time but today I went to go on the internet. However when I turned the monitor on I found it at the POST screen and it said "master drive fails." Now the hard drive I have is fairly new and it doesn't get used a ton even though the computer is always on.

So I unpluged all the cables to the drive then reconnected them and started it up. This time it gost past the previous point but gave me a screen saying :

Couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)
NTLDR: Couldn't open drive multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)

Whats going on?

Pop in the xp cd, wait for the "Press Any Key To COntinue" push a key , and delete the partition.

If that doesn't suffice, download Dban (deriks boot and nuke) and zero it
Just google it.

If you want to get the old info off of it, get another harddive set it as primary and set the busted one to slave, and try to load into windows and get the info.
