Its here at last. My Conroe and Ram and Mobo turned up 5 minutes ago!<br />

Can you guys tell me if this stepping is good?<br />

Also my ram is Corsair XMS 2 6400 C4 and the chips say XMS 6404 v2.1. Are they good chips?<br />

</div>According to The_Manual, week 28 are supposed to be the best o/c'ers so far. You seem to have week 29, so, presumably that will be almost as good.<br />

</div>That processor is a week 29 <img src="/images/smilies/wink.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Wink" class="inlineimg" /><br />

For E6600's only, if this is an E6700 then ignore this.<br />
<br />
Weeks 28, 29 and 30 are supposedly the best weeks for overclocking as the Silicon levels during this time period were the most pure.<br />
Good luck overclocking your processor. I would expect at least 2.9-3.0GHz on stock voltage <img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />

I also heard that on the E6600 anything from week 28 onwards is a good overclocker. <br />

Its all together now, just have to install windows and then its benchie time <img src="/images/smilies/smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" /> <br />

I've got the latest Bios for the P5B on floppy, should I update the bios first before installing windows? I think I should<br />

Bios is reading 24c cpu temp...........thats pretty good for stock?
