considering 7990, but...

i've never had any Crossfire experience before, so what extra steps or whatever i have to do?

And game scaling as well? the $750 price of it is mighty tempting compared to my Titan, but please, let me know what hassles i should expect in multi-GPU set up.

The 7990 is known for its micro stutter. It is cheaper and faster than the Titan however. AMD has greatly reduced the micro stutter of the 7990. But honestly if you are going that route, I would get the 7970 ghz in crossfire. I currently have the 660ti, and since I can't SLI, I am either doing that or getting a 780 (which OC'd is just as good if not better than the Titan).

But the 7970 crossfire is a much more cost effective choice and almost as powerful. A 7990 is just two 7970's anyway.

How is spending more on two 7970s more cost effective?
IMO the upgrade over a titan would not be that worthwhile. I would keep the titan until the next generation of graphics cards, and maybe pick a second one up if a deal comes up, or buy next gen.
I have two rigs, I was thinking for the mini itx build with the 7970. I've heard u need profiles for crossfire to work?

Last time I checked two 7970's were 1-200 bucks cheaper.

AMD releases profiles (CAPs) to optimize profiles for games. You can edit them, but theres really no reason to. These are there for single card solutions as well, not just crossfire.
