You know, you're mostly right...There's a few people like me who don't buy their games (I can say you're really not missing out on much anymore) but most people get angry, then go "ermehgerd bertleferld 4!" or something and buy buy buy.
Hopefully this gets a few people to start boycotting EA until they realize not screwing customers over is the right thing to do.

EA has been proven to be a heady combination of evil and incompetent...it's simply a fact at this juncture.
Don't forget all the other crap we've been getting since..well, around 2005 if my memory is serving correctly.

You cannot expect to keep the game after getting a refund (which is tricky if EA still keeps the sale proceeds from Amazon, if this is the case you should be able to keep it but we dont have enough info). I just feel like the article is leaving out information and I really hate first hand accounts like this especially when a company already has a reputation. EA CS is slow as all hell but I have never had issues other than that.

If EA is disabling accounts that were not issued any kind of refund then that is just a disgrace if not fixed.
Wait what? Why should they ban the account when I've spent hundreds of dollars on other games on it? BF3, NFS, MOH, etc.

From what I read, it was not a cliant ban, it was a game ban. That means he was banned from Simcity, not all the games in his catalog.
