Convince my friend to buy SC2

629 Views 11 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Laten
So, my friend is really into RTS games (Supreme commander 2, Sins of the Solar empire), but I can't quite convince him to get SC2. I let him play on my account, but he still isn't quite convinced. We are going to game this weekend so I was wondering if any of you had a guest pass you didn't need.

Maybe, just maybe, after I play a few games with him, he will finally buy it.

So, what else can I do to convince him to get the game?

Leave him alone and stop trying to force him to hop on the bandwagon. SC and SoaSE are fantastic RTS games.

True that, but I could never really get into supreme commander, I just need him to play with me!

Why don't you play SC or SoaSE with him instead?

That would be nice too if you don't need it, for some reason I can't send PM's, any one know why that would be?

If he likes RTS games, SC2 should be a no-brainer for him. Then again, you can't really force games on people. If he's really into Sins of a Solar Empire, you'd have a better shot at getting him into a turn-based strategy game like Civ5.

I play Sins with him, but the games take ages... As far as Supreme Commander goes I played Supreme Commander 1 with him on LAN, but I haven't bought the second one.

I really wouldn't advise on getting Supreme Commander 2, it's a real disappointment compared to the first.

I agree with TMallory though, i reckon both of you should try out Civilization V. It is turn based but don't let that fool you, it's mentally stimulating and is worse than crack.
