I'm trying to cool down my fx5700le and it would be my first time going custom. All I have is a small little 40mm fan over the core and it runs stable at 300/430, but once I get it to go very high (375ish) it pretty much dies after playing BF2. I'm thinking of getting small heatsinks for each of the ram things on the card and then get a larger heatsink and a 40mm+ fan on top of the core. Any tips on doing this so that it all works properly?
Some tips like what is the best heatsinks and how to put the stuff on. I know you use thermal paste, that artic silver 5 sounds good, along with that other artic silver stuff. What do you think would be the best cooler (not water cooling - too expensive for me right now) for oc'in a fx5700le?
you should try the thermal take giant III...it worked wonders for me...and dont forget the AS5...also go and get some ram heatsinks...
