After seeing how my green lantern build turned out, a friend asked me to build him a custom loop in a cube case. Went with the X5 as it was a bit smaller and would fit his needs perfect. I'll be doing black chrome monsoon fittings with an MMRS with black chrome tension rods and pump top. He also wanted an RGB light system so I ordered a phobya kit from ppcs and some stuff from ebay. We'll see how they turn out but I think I'll end up using the ebay stuff instead.
This won't be as big of a project as the X9 but should look really good once finished.

Hardware

Thermaltake Core X5 - black
AMD FX 6300
EVGA GTX 970
Gigabyte 990FX UD3
EVGA 650w PSU
2TB drive

Watercooling Gear

Watercool Heatkiller IV cpu block
EK full cover 970 GTX block
Black Ice Nemesis 360 stealth radiator
Monsoon MMRS - 150mm clear reactor core tube w/black chrome
Monsoon 3/8" x 1/2" free center compression fittings - black chrome
Mayhems X1 clear coolant, tubing, and some aurora booster

Right now I'm waiting for the tube caps to get back in stock at ppcs before I can finish the build. Here are all the pics so far.

I didn't like the way it looked with the rad on just one side so I centered it. This should help put a little more light onto the gpu block and the fans are still getting plenty of air.
I didn't realize how powerful these yate loons fans were, I figured for $4 I would be getting something like what I used in my build that don't push much air at all, so I ordered the high speed versions.

These things are like jet engines lol. And don't get your finger caught in the blade

I found an extra long sata cable for the blu ray drive so I can run it around the case and hide it in the side panels instead of across the res.
I also installed the RGB lights, I'll have to get some pics or a vid up later.

I got everything but the vertical mount today so I was finally able to assemble the res. I also picked up a fan controller and got it sleeved and connectors changed to black. Once the res mount shows up I can get everything finished up.

Here's the final pics! I'll get a video link posted soon so you can see how the RGB looks. Turned out much better than I expected, the fluid really picks up the color from the RGB lights and the whole thing just shifts colors. Looks amazing in person

Subbed. Love my case, ive had it a couple months now already. My build log has no love cuz its pretty much a finished build no log haha. Wire management isn't too friendly on this case but airflow is pretty crazy.

Would you be able to fit the top bay in ?
The mounts are too long with a triple rad to use the top bay. I was going to put the fan controller in the top bay but wasn't able to for that reason. Luckily I picked a controller that could be mounted to a pci slot. It would be nice if they had short mounts for things like fan controllers. Maybe you could mod the mount or something, but it won't fit as is.

Thanks, looks like I might be looking at the Core X9 instead

I have a DK Bay res, so that takes two slots straight away

Can it be secured with only the bottom mount, or could you use the bottom two bays? Unfortunately this was a build for someone else so I don't have it in front of me to take measurements, but I believe the dvd drive extends about 2 inches past the rad. You can also mount the rad on the side, unless you already have one going there.
