Will the Corsair 620HX power crossfire 5770s or 5850s with an overclocked i7 to around 3.8Ghz?

5850's i think not.

i'd step up to a 750W or 850W if you want to crossfire 5850's
Corsair 750TX for sure. Lots of OC head room, and future proof for a while.
Check out my Sig and do the numbers yourself. Its really easy.

Lol you don't have any of the hardware he has.

Granted, the 4870x2 is kind of a power hog.

Can you crossfire 4890's on that? Similar power consumption. I would say you could...depending on the rest of the setup.
I was talking about my link on my sig..

How Much Power Does your Rig Need..

He's talking about the power supply calculator.

Even though those things are usually very inaccurate and hugely over-estimate your power needs.

A Corsair HX620 would be sufficient, I believe. It has 50A/600W on the 12V rail.

This system only pulls 478W together, according to this page in the same review.

The 5770 draws 80W each while gaming. The hx620 will easily handle that. The 5850 draws 105W each during gaming. Two of those and an i7 ~3.8 will still be within the hx620's capabilities.
That will not be a problem for the HX620.
