I recently bought the corsair 800d and I love it! I also bought some WD green 3 TB hard drives for the hot swap compartment. Unfortunately, only the first drive can be recognized. I was wondering if it was because not enough power was available for the hard drives (power supply is only 650 I believe) or did I need this backplane from this website:

My new drives are 6Gb/s so I guess I should be looking into this backplane anyway.

No you should have plenty of power, hard drives only use a few watts. Just as long as the sata power from your cpu and the data cable from your motherboard are plugged in you should be fine.
