$80 a set would be about right for those kits

Wow, really? Thats quite a high resell value, and they're hitting only about $70 on ebay...

Anyone else have any inputs on what price would make you immediately pick one up?

Considering they're $130 now (even after the DDR3 price drop), I'd say $80 shipped is VERY reasonable. $70 on eBay? Crazy... (Not saying I don't believe you

In my opinion, $80 is scary high. I've been buying a good stock of that RAM lately; Newegg had it retailing (RETAILING, not even on sale) for $88 a couple weeks ago. Not sure why the retail's so much higher now. I bought two sets on OCN: one for $60 shipped, the other $55. I got a second chance offer on eBay for $53 for another set.

$55-65 shipped would be reasonable.

Here's another link for what's basically the same RAM:

$98 shipped on the Egg, which is still a little high for that RAM.

There was no single price drop. Prices have been fluctuating a lot. Right now, prices aren't too dissimilar from prices 1.5-2 years ago. $70 on eBay would be the average going price, and people pay too much for parts on there...

Looking at eBay, $60 might actually be high as well.

I know there wasn't a single price drop. I'm referring to the most recent one. Before that, you couldn't find a 2x2GB DDR3 kit for less than $70.

Regardless, you're right. $80 is probably too high. I'd keep it and see if DDR3 prices go back up.
