Corsair Memory Cooling

I have 4GB of Corsair Dominator DDR2 Ram at 1070MHz not much from its stock 1066MHz (i have it running in ratio with my OC'd Q6600).

It came with the cooling fan but i find that the fans are really loud compared to the rest of my rig. does the ram NEED the fan? Will they get too hot while gaming? My case is a Antec 900 so it has good airflow.

Nope, you don't need the fans at all as long as you keep the interior dust-free.

I've got the same RAM and have used the cooler before and to be honest the heatsinks do a fantastic job - there's no need for the cooler. If you turn your rig off, take the RAM out and have a feel you'll feel it's not warm at all.
The Antec 900 has great airflow coming in through the front and out the top anyway (assuming you have your fans on), so don't stress
