Corsair PSU is buzzing... Halp.

I just recently did a complete system overhaul, I've had this PSU since around Christmas time and never had a problem with it. I dropped it in a new HAF-912 and it makes a pretty annoying buzzing sound that varies in how loud it is. The PSU is a GS-700, I would have bought a TX-650 v2 but I had a pretty large amount on a Best Buy Gift Card so I went with this.

Anyone ever hear of buzzing PSU?

Is this dangerous?

What should I do?

RMA it.

Not sure if that is an option, Best Buy probably won't let me return it now, I would probably have to go through Corsair.

Just RMA or post in their forums, Corsair is pretty good when it comes to RMA. They sent me a new H50 no questions asked when i had a faulty pump.

Yes, do NOT talk to Best Buy. DIRECTLY deal with Corsair. They have one of the BEST RMA services in my opinion.

My rig shut off once and there was a burning smell. I eventually learned that this was caused by my OLD motherboards VRMs not being cooled properly. But I emailed their RMA support and they emailed me next day practically demanding an RMA on the PSU.
The Corsair TX650W has problems with the powersaving on the newer P55 motherboards. I knew this and should have RMA'd the PSU sooner really but I prefered a working PC at the time. The PSU died within 14 months which can be confirmed with the paperclip test.

If you have a similiar problem with this PSU buzzing when your PC comes out of standby get it back to your reseller within 12 months so you don't have to pay the return postage costs. I noticed this mostly when starting up Crysis when the PSU emits a squealing sound during the loading screens.

Oh well, Corsair have agreed to replace the unit once I send it back to the Netherlands (I'm in the UK, delivery cost 15GBP by ParcelsPlease via UPS Standard).

Corsair replaced the PSU with the TX650V2 model within seven days and the buzzing noise has gone.

Did this only start after you relocated the PSU? Is the buzzing related to the fan speed or what? Or, is this a buzzing you hear in your speakers?

If'it's a bad PSU, or for anyone else that needs Tech Support or an RMA.
