Now before all the confusing starts i would like to clear this up as this is a mixed OEM series

And no there is no Seasonic anywhere near this series

450/550/650/1000 watts are CWT aka Channel Well Technology made units

The 750 and 850 watts are Chicony Power Technology made units

I've never heard of these oem's before, any info on them ? the low noise fan design and components without coil whine or buzzing noises do seem nice. Lets hope it will perform as advertised.

Channel Well Technology is one of the old guys that have been around for years

They have made so much i cant keep track of it all

Chicony Power Technology is more interesting becasue they dont make alot

In fact i have never heard of them before the they made the Corsair TX750M and TX850M

CWT Info

I think it will fit between the Corsair HX and AX

But its more or less the same class/type of PSU as the Be Quiet Straight Power CM E9 and maybe the Dark Power Pro

Maybe cheaper if Cosair does not overpriced like they often do

Whatever it is its not really worth picking a RM up unless its dirt cheap and even then i would look for another unit on sale

Yea RM's not even on my list... I was just confused as to why they were offering the RM850 as an "upgrade" to the HX850! LOL

For me it will either be the new eVGA G2, if they come out anytime this week.... or a CM v700 if I can find any cheap enough and in stock, as they're mostly sold out now, even at my local Microcenters now... or a Corsair HX 750 or Seasonic 750 as they're both pretty much the same.... or a Capstone 750 which seems the best economical choice at the moment as its on sale 28% off and hoping that sale lasts, cause I'm still waiting for more info on those G2's as my curiosity on them is certainly piqued!

I wouldn't touch an RM though, with a 12 foot pole! LOL

The cheapest I will ever go on a Corsair would be the TX, which is what I put into my girlfriends computer and she's quite happy with it!

RM is not on the list as you dont have a PSU editor anymore so the list has not been update for ages

I wasn't referring to THE list, as in the list here on OCN...

I was referring to MY list, as in my list of preferred choices that I am looking at purchasing within the next few days.
