Hey guys, my friend is in need of a new ram and I was thinking about selling my Vengeance to him because, these ram won't OC at all. And from the Online Deals thread, the Samsung Green seems to be a really really great ram for the value and that I have a $15 coupon to use so, all in all I can get 12gb ram of the Samsung ones for $30 and also, they look like they're really great to OC.

The current Samsung ram I got can go 2133mhz @ 9-10-10-28 1.45v So, would these ram be better than my current Vengeance, stock at 9-9-9-24?

The vengeance don't oc very well, it was my previous pair. I'd go with the samsungs, they do run cooler and oc much higher.
Only reason for going Corsair is for the warranty, although I don't see any probable issues dealing with Samsung.

The thing is, the ram can not OC at all. Can't lower timings with any voltages or pretty much cant raise the speed with any voltage so, I'm left with the stock settings.

I was just about to make a thread exactly like this. Except, should i keep my patriot 2000mhz, or go with the new samsung stuff???

I have been doing so much reading into how overclockable these kits are. But don't know if i will gain a whole lot over my current 200mhz kit. I too have the $15 coupon, bringing my 12gb kit to a fraction of the cost of similar kits.

The Samsung MV-3V4G3 can OC better, are capable of similar timings at low speeds and better timings at higher speed, and are probably at least as reliable.

When I was using it with my 955 I had my Corsair Vengeance @1774 MHz 7-8-7-15 1T at 1.625 volts 24/7. I would call that a decent OC. Deneb IMC wouldn't let me run 1866 without major problems. But everyone else says the Vengeance is crap, I've only had one set so my experience is limited.

I see, thanks guys! I went ahead and switched to the Samsung. At 8gb 2133mhz 10-10-10-28 1.45v I'm more than happy now.
