it is pretty good ram, not sure about the price tho.... but it should overclock decently.
That RAM isn't too bad, and it should overclock reasonably well. However, you might want to consider this as an alternative. It runs faster out of the box and overclocks well, but the stock voltage is 2.1v.

Also, RAM isn't like a CPU that needs more voltage at higher frequencies. You may just end up creating more heat by adding volts without increasing your overclock. I'm no expert on it, though, so you may want to ask around.
ok thanks, i dont want to overclock too much.basically my q6600 is at 3.4 at the mo.i want at least 3.6.the ram i want about ddr900.is that possible ?.
Novatech has a decent offer on the Dominators right now, 2x2gb kit for £56, I had some of that XMS2 you linked too and it didn't overclock much..

I paid £90 a couple of months back

Worth the extra £6 over the 6400 from ebuyer..

The XMS2 PC6400 kit doesn't overclock very well, and even worse when using 8GB.
ok, i have a try. i already have the ram...my bad..

My RAM is faster with 1:1 ratio at 4-4-4-12 than 1066 5-5-5-15 since i'm on an nvidia chipset which prefers tighter timings to higher Mhz.

If you consider that a high overclock, ok

They are majorly overrated imo.

Heh, you must have missed out on a setting then. Or they don't play nicely with your board.

And you run 911mhz @ CL5?

Nah, don't see it like that. But you asked if they are good overclockers, so the truth shall be given

Either way, you still have 8GB which is nice. And unless you are a memory freak like me, you'd go back for a new set.

They are rated for 1.9v max within warranty, so I wouldn't give them more then 2.0v. The stock timings on that set is already pretty bad, so you won't have to change that. Just see how far it will go with 5-5-5-15.

i had the 2gb kit and it didnt overclock very well. but it seems to be hit or miss with that ram.
ok
