Hello everyone Im currently new to fps gaming. On my deathadder 3.5g im currently using 450 dpi x 2 sensitivity should I switch it to 900 dpi x 1 sensitivity. Im wondering if it would be faster or the same since it more dpi

Are you talking about 1.6 or Source versions?

In 1.6 keep your DPI lower than your resolution or you will get acceleration issues.

Yes you can use 900 DPI with 1 sensitivity. However, if you want to have a slower cursor speed you may run out of adjustment. It's always best to keep you sensitivity close to 1.

Play around with it and find what works for you.

I dont think it will affect anything since 450 x 2 has the same speed as 900 dpi x 1 if that wht you mean

Above and below 1 is just multiplied variants of the default 0.022 angle.

On a side note 1.6 has received a patch that included raw input. So, if implemented flawlessly, you should be able to use what DPI you want, without any performance decreases within the game. Just remember to turn it on. m_rawinput 1!

Well as far as i know if you set "m_rawinput" to "1" Counter Strike will just ingore your Windows mouse sensitivity. As long as you have the Windows mouse sensitivity set to the sixth bar (the one in the Middle - standard) you should not be able to feel a difference.

After the patch it's also possible to set sensitivity below 1.0.
