Hi,

I have an i5 2500k at stock 3.3Ghz speed. I am wanting to overclock it now so I have been looking at some aftermarket CPU fan/heatsink. I am worried about the size of fan/heatsink because when looking inside my case and where the CPU is, it doesn't look like I have much room.

Here is the CPU cooler I'm looking to buy - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

My Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066

Motherboard - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131837

Also is this a good CPU cooler for overclocking? I'm looking to go atleast 3.8Ghz. Thanks.

What kind of overclocking can I do with this cooler and CPU? Would I be able to overclock to lets say 3.8Ghz without having to worry about my CPU getting to hot?
i dont have any first hand experience with the 2500k, but considering alot of people get 4ghz+ on air coolers, i think its safe to say you could easily get 3.8+ with that cooler.

It helps that the 300 has decent airflow too.

With the i5-2500k you can at the very least go up to 4.0 Ghz with almost default settings so no worries there. The Hyper 212 Evo, like it's predecessor 212+ is a solid air cooler for its price and will fit the 300 Illusion. For your case though, have you already bought your case? Because for the price, there are better case options than the Antec 300.

Yeah I already bought the case. A friend of mine had one before and told me it was great so I went ahead and bought it.
