I'm looking for a cpu cooler so I can overclock my Intel E8400 to 4Ghz.
I don't really know much about cpu cooling and I'm new to over clocking. I want the coolest temperatures that can fit in my case for under 100AUD. I have heard a lot about the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme / True, but I'm still not sure if it is right for me (It's just a tad over $100). Although it might be worth buying a more expensive one and add more fans instead of getting a Logitech G15...

edit: Damn the true won't fit in there... any suggestions?

Where did you read the TRUE will not fit in a Thermaltake Armor case? I thought it would.

Other good coolers are the Prolimatech Megahalem or the Xigmatek Dark Knight and Scythe Mugen 2 if you want to save money.

Thanks heaps! I'll look into them.

I saw somewhere that the TRUE was 160mm tall. Am I wrong? I hope so...
If I put one of them in it would be about 0.5cm away from the side fan.

You could also take out the side fan as it wouldn't be needed anymore at that point (unless it points directly at your GPU). The TRUE blows hot air towards the back of the case, where another fan should be to help take out the hot air.

That's a good idea. The fan is a little on the gpu but I could zip tie another fan on the side of my hard drive cage. Maybe I can even put the side fan on the outside of the case.

Take a look at my guide (1st link in sig) Should educate you a lot on Air Cooling and answer your question on what CPU Cooler you should get.

Good Luck.
