lol if u have a sick mind, don't mention it here.

Anyway, every screw-down heatsink I had for my CPU or GPU, after I screw it down and later look at it after popping it out, there are indentation marks in the copper from the 4 corners of the CPU; they are slightly raised from the rest of the chip anyway.

But you think I'm doing it too hard? I have a Zalman 9500, and I don't want it to fall off or loosen up on my mobo...

whenever you are tightening down screws on (any) computer parts, you should only make them fairly fight... if you tighten them too much you can strip the thread, crack the circuit board, or just break something... so it sounds to me like you were tightening it too much... only make it fairly snug...
