What are the correct CPU temps, RealTemp, HWInfo or HWMonitor. Which one is the most accurate? Why are they all different...

Have not used realtemp since Q6600 days. Your temps in 64 and Monitor are very similar. I use 64.

The old SpeedFan 4.52 this is the most reliable to my eyes.
CPU temperature included at MSI Afterburner this is all over the place.

Holy ****, realtemp! That's a throwback.

HWINFO64. Realtemp is old as hell.. I think I was running a 920 last time it was still relevant lol

I thought I would dive in into it a bit and it turned out that's actually quite interesting...

Some sources claim the TJMax to be as high as 115C which would actually render all of your tested apps wrong.
It's unusual that HWMonitor and HWinfo64 report it differently too.
However since intel actually states max die temp 100C if you must choose then you should go with HWMonitor readings (Hottest core 67C; lowest dist to TjMax 33C; 67+33=100 )

All that being said technically all you should care about is your distance to TjMax and this reading will be the same in all monitoring apps.
