Hello!

I'm not 100% into the market, all I know that Sandy Bridge just came out, and AMD's bulldozer is on the way.

Anyway, I'm looking to update my system, as I have a Phenom II x4 955 CPU clocked at 3.6 GHz atm.

Is it worth upgrading for Intel i5 2500K, and how big of a performance increase would that be? Secondly, should I rather wait for the Bulldozer to see what they can offer?

Bulldozer is due out June/July.

If I was you I would wait, your current CPU is still pretty good.

If going for sandy bridge just make sure you get a mobo compatible with ivy bridge.

with your current rig ( @ 3.6ghz ) i would wait for the next gen processers IMO. BUT THE 2500K should overclock well, and be a decent little upgrade!
