Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade to 3G here soon, so I want to sell this but I need to know about what you guys think it's worth.

It's an 8GB iPhone 1st Gen currently Jailbroken and NOT unlocked with 3.0 OS.
Comes with USB Cable, and iPhone/iPod Dock, and Black Cozip Case.

The screen is cracked in numerous places, but the screen is still able to be seen 100%, and the screen and touch screen is 100% functional.

Sometimes the Volume symbol shows up on the screen, and the volume/mute switch has to be switched for it to go away.

All I'm looking for is an appraisal for a phone for someone to use as an iPod and for a phone if they want.

It's still 100% functional, I just don't want it because I'll be upgrading.

Everything works 100%.

I'll get some pictures up soon.

Awww I was coming to look at the crack now. Well bud, the iPhone 3g 8GB can be had for $45 w/ Contract for a refurb or $45 w/out contract if you know how to play your cards. So for the old one, you'd be lucky to pull $100. However, let's check out ebay

They have been selling for less than $100 w/out shipping

However some have been selling for higher as well.

Here's the link to look for the ones that have been sold higher.

I'd like to know how you can grab a 3G for $45.. as I have a contract with AT&T, and the refurbished iPhone 3G is $279 on the AT&T Store.

Plus, not everyone can upgrade, and that price is not for everyone. Especially the $99 pricetag.

That might be a little high since it's not unlocked, for the price they are going for now I would have to say 85 shipped max.

Why does the price change if it's unlocked? It takes about 30 seconds for me to unlock it.

Well I apologize then I don't know how to unlock these but I do know that some phones you need a special code from the Service Provider to unlock, so if you sold it locked then nobody else can unlock it (at least this is my understanding). It goes for more if it's unlocked because then you don't have to have an AT&T contract.

Okay let me tell you how about this method calling "complaining". It works like a charm. You call AT&T and you tell them about this stupid phone that's messing up and why are you paying all this money per month for a service you can't use. After you complain enough, they'll offer to upgrade you to the 3G one for $45. Depending on how much you complain, they'll do it with or without contract. For me, I got the 3GS for a free upgrade even though I got my iPhone 3G back in March and got it without a contract extension.
