This guy has a rig for sale for $300, and it seems like a decent deal. Here's what it's got:

-Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo Processor
-ASUS P5B Deluxe/Wi-Fi Motherboard
-4GB DDR2 RAM
-120GB Hard Drive
-nVidia GeForce 8800GT
-Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound Card (7.1 Surround)
-Multi-Card Reader
-TV Tuner (S-video/RCA/Coax input)
-Other ports:
- External SATA / Firewire / USB 2.0

One thing he didn't mention was the case/PSU.

Anyway, I was thinking about buying this and parting it out to fellow OCNer's who might want some of it. What do you think it would go for?

Seems like a pretty decent deal!

-$60 for the E6600
-$60 for the mobo
-$35 for the RAM
-$20 for the HD
-$75 for the 8800gt
-$20 for the sound card
-$10 for the card reader
-$15 for the tuner (maybe even less because it is coax)
+case/psu

You'd about break even before the case/psu.

Haha nice! Yeah... still not sure yet. I told him I was interested, asked him what case/PSU was included, haven't heard back yet. We'll see. If I parted it out, shipping costs would kill. :\\ -$5 per part, at least.

OT: I'd buy it if you could get him down to $250 or less.

NO,
in both instances lol.

Perhaps it would take an equivalent 33GHZ Pentium 1 with MMX technology though
(seriously)

But I doubt you're acquainted with such a time, so you wouldn't be able to feel the sheer joy of that thought lol.

But its certainly not 33000 of a Anthon T'bird 1333 megahertz though lol.
