Has anyone out there discovered the wonders of CCleaner. I've been using it now for about 6 months, and It's saved me about 70 GIG (yes, you read right) in space that was full of temporary and useless files on my HDD.
I just thought I'd make this thread so that other people who haven't yet discovered the wonders of it can join!
Here's the link -- http://www.ccleaner.com/

Enjoy (if you're not already !)

Nice. I think this one is good though because it can clean up your registry as well, and it's so user friendly.

I've donated and I get the latest one before it's made public which I thought was good.

That's still a hefty chunk mind you. That's space for some overclocking programs, or pics of your rig!
Ran CCleaner just then and it cleaned up 1,564.5MB!

I think it's great. Maybe OCN should do something with the developers to get it like featured on this site. With 28k members and rising, they'd have loads of publicity!

Wow, I can't believe how popular this thread is!!

This just goes to show how inefficient and stupid Windows is, there is no way an operating system should be able to accumulate GIGS of files it no longer needs just run CCleaner, uninstall a few programs and run it again, you're sure to have tons of files that are useless but that the programs failed to delete when they were uninstalled.

Yeah, it's kinda annoying, but CC clears it easily.

The funny thing is, I had to put some of my stuff on DVDs yesterday because I ran out of space.
