Is this sound card much good? I only want it for music. Nothing else. dont care about system performance gains or gaming.

I have Logitech X-530 speakers and a Realtek 7.1 Onboard sound card. Im only going to upgrade if theres going to be a noticable increase in sound quality.

Im on a budget so if the cards that you recommend are to expensive i will stick with my onboard sound.

I have the exact same soundcard. It sounds fine. It was a big improvement over the onboard sound I was using. I have a set of Altec Lansing speakers with a 120w sub, it sounds great. I would reccomend this card over onboard.

it'll be fine. even a Live 24bit would work for what you want

I don't agree that anything above the live 24bit is purely for gaming. there are many other uses like mixing that you need higher end sound cards for as well.

the better the sound card, the less the cpu will have to do (sound wise) and the better your sound will be, also the better sound cards can handle more things at once.

Ok im getting the Audigy Value. I hope its plays as good as what the TV out put was. Really hoping its noticably better than the Onboard Sound.

The sound card seems a decent ammount better than onboard.
Strange thing is I can turn my volume up louder without hurting my ears.
