Critique my build please?

I am mostly set on all of these components, reason for the 4650 is because the 5850 is too expensive right now, and it should be ok for gaming for the time being. After I upgrade it will be going in my 780g system. Thanks in advance for advice!

looks good
but i have a couple of whohaws.
1: CPU cooling? where is that (we will not let you use stock)
2: thermal paste, for cooling
3: why X3 720? i would definately get a quad, perhaps a 955BE, it's a good chip and if you want to crossfire 5850's it will help you stop bottlenecking, all in all. Good work.

P.S. wanna trade? lol jk

I already have thermal paste, and I am sure the stock cooling will be sufficient as I never overclock more than a tiny bit
.

PS Why a 5750?

Get a quad for sure! And newegg is having a deal on those 690s for $40 on BF (starts wednesday)
I would get a little high wattage psu in case you ever want to xfire. And get that 5770 instead. And you can get a 750gb hdd for about the same price
If its asus and open box... Chances are you will be sending it in again

Looks like a very solid build. I'd only change the hard drive (see below).

You give performance for those extra gigabytes, I believe the 640GB Black has only two platters (2x320GB) whereas the 750GB Black has three (3x250GB). That makes the 640GB Black faster. Better yet get the Samsung F3 1TB with two 500GB platters.
That is the best price/GB/performance hard drive on the market today, in my opinion.

A) You just suggested a discontinued CPU for him (AMD 7750)

B) Please at least make an attempt to spell check

don't get a phenom I, they suck weiner, i owned one.
don't get an Athlon II, they have no L3 cache, the chip your looking at now is faster. I would say maybe get a phnom II 940 i belive it's name is. but the 720 is great

The problem with the Phenom II 940BE is it's an AM2+ CPU and not AM3. In that case you might as well pay $10 more for the AM3 Phenom II 955BE.

yeah i'm a little worried about the open box mobo and the GPU. However, i will tell you that if you stick with an Asus board and register it, you get 2 years from the date of purchase of warrenty. That's for anything, too. Water, dropping, frying. They've replaced a few of my things, even a laptop before, and their customer service doesn't fight you about it, either!

Finally ordered
The only issue I have with all of these is that the Ram is designed for P55 chipsets, etc. but I'm sure it will work out fine.
