Crossfire and CPU Bottleneck?

I'm putting the finishing touches on my first build, however one thing has left a doubt in my mind. Would an i5 750 bottleneck with 2x5850 in CF? Or 2x5870?

Nope and nope.

But your performance might be hurt slightly by the i5's PCI-E lane bandwidth limitation, but the effect on your frames per second would be within 5-10%.

I wouldn't think so. P55/i5 would be a decent platform for CF, I'd imagine.

AMD Phenom II X3 720 does not bottleneck CF/SLI so i5 would not either.

Thanks, but it is actually more like 1-2%.
