Crossfire new motherboard;

I think i will crossfire in the future,
for now, im buying this pc:
Mobo:
cpu: Q9550
gpu: HD4870X2
case: ninehundred
ps: 750tx corsair
ram: 4gb mushkin

I was sure I'm going with the DFI P45 T2RS DK
but then I've realized that it supports only 2slots PCI-E 8x 8x or 1 slot x16
so my question is, for future crossfire(HD4870X2 CF) should I take
T2RS X48 DK DFi Or Asus Rampage Formula (the rampage cost 50$ more than the Dfi)

Or staying with the P45?
the 16x 16x will make a difference??

Thanks.

for a 4870X2 the X16 will give u a 5-7% Gain so u should really consider getting the x48 if u can

X2 4870x2 isnt worth it really.

If your looking for a Board to CF on the Rampage Formula or the P5E are both great boards.

It may not be quite as noticeable with older cards, but I'm pretty sure that you will need dual x16 rails to realize the full potential of the CF X2 cards. It doesn't look like a budget build anyway, so why don't you go ahead and get that Rampage? It'll be worth it.
just get a P5E
x16 + x16 does make a difference for the 4870x2. Honestly though, I'd just stay with one x2, and get the P5E.
Definitely go with an X38 or X48 chipset if you want to crossfire...

If you are on a budget, get the P5E...

If you want the X48 chipset, get the P5E-Deluxe

If you are willing to give up an arm and a leg, get the Rampage Formula, (Its worth it though, amazing board)

P5E Deluxe FTW.

I wouldn't get the 900, unless you plan on modding it. I had a lot of trouble getting a 8800GTX to fit well in it, and the 4870x2 is longer. You should defiantly get yourself an nice full tower.

yup defenatly go for a x38 or x48, id say x38 just as good as x48 but less expensive.

I have one of each, and I'll say without reservation that if you can't afford the extra $20 or so to get the X48, you should go clean out your couch, work at McDonald's, or (unprintable) until you get the $20. It will be worth it.

Confused!!!
Ok, conclusions,
im going for crossfire with X16 X16...
but which motherborad is the best? I understand that the 20$ between aX38 and X48
is big, and I've heard that X38 Dfi gets to very low FSB,
so the options are:

Asus rampage formula (360$)
Asus P5E Deluxe (300$)
DFI X48 T2RS (270$)

Which one is better for OCing?
which is has better qualities?

which one should i take

some said that the Rampage is the best out of those,
I think I will be able to afford it but im NOT sure,
is the differences really worth it?? and by what? (better OC?/CF?)

Thanks

The rampage is definitely the best. My choice for price/performance out of those would be the P5E deluxe.

I didn't give up my arm or leg to get the rampage formula tho. i gave away my other body part. Jk. Rampage Formula is a really nice board. go for it.

The Rampage Formula and P5E Deluxe are virtually identical. The only difference is one LAN port versus 2, and some extra fan headers and temp sensors. Oh, and the LCD poster. They're literally the same board; you can see the missing headers for the extra fans and LCD poster on the P5E Deluxe.
if you can afford it, go ahead and get the Rampage Formula,

but as error10 said, the P5Q-D ispretty much the same, except that the Rampage has lot of extra "bling"...

They're a bit more expensive in Israel, I would imagine.
