What can I crossfire with a 4870x2? Never crossfire before and would like to try it out.

the card is already really good, so i would just go with a good overclock, but that is just my opinion.

4870 or a 4890 or don't bother. A 4860 would work as well.
I'm using 4870x2+4890 in tri-fire right now, and it works pretty well.

they run hotter then FERMi's

Rather, the stock cooler is worse than fermis.Invariably, its the difference between cooling one gpu and 2 gpus with a squirrel-cage fan cooler design.
If one can fork over 50 bucks for the artic cooling accelero extreme, they run like a block of ice. My 4870x2 is idling at 34c inside my case at the moment.

Thanks for all the post I'll have to keep my eyes out for one of the cards mentioned above.
