Hello,

I am looking at the X1900 XT crossfire and I just have a few questions.

1. What is the difference between X1900 XT and X1900 XT Crossfire? Will one only work stand-alone? While the crossfire is the only one capable of using two X1900 XT cards?

2. What is a good, reliable crossfire-compatible mobo out there? I have only seen 4 or so and was hoping someone would have some insight about it.

Thanks in advance.

If I were you I'd get the X1900 (either one) and a non-crossfire board (a dfi of some sort). The reason being the answer to the second question, there aren't any really good crossfire boards out right now. Theres a new CF chipset coming out soon (I suspect with the release of socket M2) that blows the current chipset away, so they aren't coming out with CF boards right now with something better just around the corner. Get the x1900 of your choice and when it comes time to upgrade to socket M2 get an M2 crossfire board and the other X1900 and off ya go....just my two cents.

Bleh. I guess I will just have to wait another month and see what happens. If nothing changes I'm going to take a risk with the ASUS A8R-MVP =P
